201 Units Destined For West L.A.
Venice-based Build Group will handle construction for the Overland & Ayres project. The project features a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units, and eight two-story townhomes fronting the residential on Ayres Avenue. The complex will also include approximately 6,200 square feet of ground-floor commercial space fronting Overland Avenue.
Brentwood-based GPI Cos. has announced plans for Overland & Ayres, a six-story, 201-unit apartment building proposed for West Los Angeles. The Overland & Ayres is next to GPI’s previously announced 230,000-square-foot creative office project.
The developments, dubbed West End, will replace part of the Westside Pavilion mall. Also at the Westside Pavilion, Santa Monica-based Macerich Co. and Brentwood-based Hudson Pacific Properties Inc. are developing Google’s 584,000-square-foot campus. GPI purchased a six-acre property that is being used to develop West End, including the former Macy’s department store building and the accompanying parking garage at the Westside Pavilion, in February 2017 in an off-market transaction.
