Build Group Delivers Next-Generation Workplace for Hanson Bridgett at 425 Market

We delivered this project in a fully occupied tower on an accelerated schedule, staying true to our core differentiator: precision execution from foundation to finishes, on time, on budget, and with an excellent safety record.”

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — March 10, 2026 — Build Group has completed a high-rise renovation for Hanson Bridgett LLP at 425 Market Street, delivering a modernized legal workplace designed to strengthen culture, enhance collaboration, and support renewed investment in San Francisco’s downtown office market.

Completed on an accelerated schedule, the 6,586-square-foot tenant improvement transformed the firm’s workspace with a new communal hub, upgraded workstations, refined finishes, and integrated MEP and AV systems aligned with today’s hybrid performance demands. Build Group also coordinated the decommissioning of Hanson Bridgett’s 25th floor, managing shutdowns and landlord turnover within the constraints of an active high-rise tower.

“Office environments today must earn the commute,” said Cody Bedell, President of Northern California at Build Group. “This project reflects a broader shift we’re seeing across San Francisco — organizations reinvesting in high-quality space to bring people together. We delivered in a fully occupied tower on an accelerated schedule, staying true to our core differentiator: precision execution from foundation to finishes, on time, on budget, and with an excellent safety record.”

“Our workplace plays a critical role in how we connect, collaborate, and innovate as a firm,” said Kristina D. Lawson, Managing Partner at Hanson Bridgett. “This renovation reflects a thoughtful investment in our people, supporting flexibility in how we work, strengthening our culture, and aligning our space with where we’re headed. It also reaffirms our long-term commitment to downtown San Francisco as a place where our firm and our city continue to evolve.”

As employers recalibrate real estate strategies, strategic interior renovations are accelerating momentum toward a return to the office. Modernized environments that prioritize comfort, functionality, and collaboration are helping companies reinforce culture while maximizing the value of existing Class A assets.

From preconstruction through final detailing, ASD | SKY aligned the layout and material selections with the firm’s evolving operational needs, while Build Group managed demolition, structural coordination, system upgrades, framing, drywall, finishes, and closeout, using disciplined sequencing and rigorous safety oversight.

As San Francisco’s office market shifts toward quality over quantity, projects like 425 Market demonstrate how targeted reinvestment can reposition downtown workplaces for long-term performance. Build Group continues to support this shift through a client-driven delivery approach that combines deep preconstruction expertise, disciplined project execution, and extensive self-perform capabilities.

From high-rise tenant improvements to complex repositioning and ground-up construction, our teams work closely with owners, architects, and partners to deliver projects that align with operational goals, schedule certainty, and long-term asset value. With strong regional leadership and specialized expertise in interiors, painting, and finish work, Build Group provides the technical execution and collaborative partnership clients rely on to bring high-performance workplaces to life.
