1500 Mission is a ground-up Type I multifamily residential project located in San Francisco’s SOMA district. Build Group delivered this 758,291-square-foot high-rise development with 39 levels above grade, two below-grade levels, and 550 residential units, including 110 affordable housing units, along with retail space, luxury amenity areas, and subterranean parking.
The project transformed a dense urban infill site at the intersection of Mission Street and Van Ness Avenue into a mixed-use residential destination supporting the continued revitalization of the Mid-Market corridor. Build Group coordinated complex high-rise construction sequencing, including a four-day concrete cycle, night-shift precast façade installation, and continuous coordination with an adjacent office tower under concurrent construction.
The development integrates approximately 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space, including rooftop terraces, lounges, fitness facilities, dining areas, landscaped outdoor spaces, pet amenities, and a rooftop pool. The project also included the adaptive reuse and restoration of a historic 1925 Coca-Cola bottling plant incorporated into the overall development. The LEED Gold-certified tower delivers high-density housing, premium resident amenities, and affordable units within one of San Francisco’s most active transit-oriented neighborhoods.
