The project entails extensive base building renovations of an existing mixed-use entertainment complex with movie theater while keeping it fully operation. The key to success was to upgrade the structure and building systems with minimal disruption despite intrusive work such as raising and lowering slab elevations, pouring a slab on a new metal deck, and an escalator relocation. The construction team organized all crews to work around the operational hours of the theater often running night shifts. With careful planning, creative sequencing, and tight control over logistics the project was completed on time.
