Kathy Shinoda is Chief Financial Officer at Build Group, where she leads the company’s financial strategy, accounting and reporting. She brings more than 15 years of accounting and finance experience to the role, including a decade with Build Group.

Kathy joined Build Group in 2016 as a Divisional Controller based in the Los Angeles area, where she managed the financial operations behind the company’s growth. She was named Chief Accounting Officer in 2023 and now serves as CFO. Few people know Build Group’s projects and divisions as closely as she does. That gives leadership and clients confidence that the numbers behind every project are accurate, transparent and well managed.

Before joining Build Group, Kathy was an accountant at Urban Developments and at Walpole & Co., LLP in Santa Barbara County. She studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
