Ground-up residential development. 109,465 SF with 66 three-story townhomes across seven clusters, private garages and roof decks. LEED Silver.
Block 55 – Hunters Point is a 109,465-square-foot, ground-up residential development within the former Hunters Point Shipyard in San Francisco. The project delivered 66 three-story wood-frame townhomes across Blocks 55E and 55W as part of the larger Hunters Point Shipyard Phase I redevelopment.
The residences are organized into seven clusters and function as individual single-family homes, each with a private entrance, roof deck, and at-grade garage. The development includes 27 townhomes on Block 55E and 39 townhomes on Block 55W, with construction adapted to site conditions ranging from mild and moderate slopes to steeper grades.
Build Group coordinated construction within a site that had already undergone preliminary grading and partial utility work as part of the broader planned development. The project also incorporated structural concrete and insulation self-perform scopes to support quality and coordination.
The LEED Silver-certified development contributes new housing to the evolving waterfront community, with nearby open green space, a playground, and an observation dock supporting the broader neighborhood experience.
