Aritzia / American Eagle Outfitters – Westfield San Francisco Centre is a Type I retail tenant improvement project located at 865 Market Street in the heart of downtown San Francisco. Build Group delivered this 31,503-square-foot project spanning two levels within the Westfield San Francisco Centre, one of the city’s most prominent retail destinations.

The project involved a full demolition to shell condition of multiple retail spaces to support the repositioning of flagship locations for Aritzia and American Eagle Outfitters. Build Group played a key role in executing demolition and structural modifications within an active, enclosed shopping center, requiring careful coordination with mall operations, adjacent tenants, and building systems to minimize disruption and maintain safety.

Scope included removal of existing storefronts to the mall ceiling, demolition of demising walls, and selective mezzanine demolition within a former tenant space. The work was sequenced across Levels 1 and 2 to prepare flexible shell spaces capable of supporting each retailer’s brand-specific buildout and merchandising strategies.

The completed shell improvements provided both tenants with clean, adaptable retail environments in a high-traffic urban location, supporting long-term leasing value for the owner while enabling future tenant customization within one of San Francisco’s most recognizable shopping centers.
