Equinox – Berkeley is a 27,950-square-foot health and wellness tenant improvement located within the Parker Place multifamily development in Berkeley. Build Group delivered the high-end fitness club across the first two floors of the residential building while construction of the larger development was being completed concurrently by a separate general contractor.
The interior build-out required close coordination to maintain progress, manage shared site conditions, and minimize conflicts between the fitness center and surrounding residential construction. The completed club includes a spa, kids’ gym, yoga studio, cycling studio, and other specialized fitness areas designed to support a premium member experience.
Build Group also coordinated the installation of owner-furnished equipment and materials, including gym equipment, spa equipment, flooring, and lighting. Careful sequencing was essential to integrate these elements with the interior construction and building systems.
Build Group self-performed the metal framing and drywall and insulation scopes, supporting quality control and schedule coordination throughout the project. The completed facility delivers a refined, full-service fitness environment within an active mixed-use residential setting.
