The Singapore-based restaurant chain, Crystal Jade, developed their flagship U.S. outlet in downtown San Francisco. The 16,400 SF restaurant includes a 4,000 SF bar and lounge, fine dining area, and a 3,500 SF outdoor patio. The new Crystal Jade restaurant will be the largest restaurant (by square footage) in the city of San Francisco.
The restaurant has a capacity of 312 seats, of which 162 are located throughout the bar and patio areas. The building offers specialty barbecue, dim sum rooms, and a duck oven. Other unique features include millwork paneling along both the ceiling and walls, as well as an imported stack-stone, tilework, furnishings and artwork from China.
One challenging aspect of this project was the complex plumbing system. The team had to get access to the surrounding apartment units, after hours, to install the new plumbing lines for the restaurant.
